SCULPTURES made by soldiers during the First World War are being sought for an exhibition in Goring.

The village’s local history society is hosting the display at the village hall on November 1 and 2 to mark the centenary of the start of the conflict.

It is looking for items of trench art, which soldiers crafted from debris when they were on leave. These included jewellery, ashtrays, cutlery and models of tanks or aeroplanes. Many were handed down through families.
