ON March 3, Reading Offshore Sailing Club will host a talk by Jane Williams, an accomplished sailor.

She will talk about her voyage from St John’s Newfoundland to Greenland when she encountered humpback whales and icebergs.

We gather from 7.30pm and the talk begins at 8pm. The club is for all interested in sailing and the sea, including non-boat owners.

The meeting is at the Upper Thames Yacht Club near the Mill at Sonning. For more information, visit www.readingoffshore.org.uk
