HENLEY’S two sides competing in the Oxfordshire Squash Racketball Association Winter League have both tasted success in the opening rounds of matches.
Henley 1sts, playing in Division 1, triumphed against Witney but lost out against Oxford University 1sts while Henley 2nds, playing in Division 4, have won both their matches against Abingdon 3rds and Carterton 3rds.
The club had a successful summer season with the first team winning the OSRA Oxfordshire Squash Racketball Association Division 1 title.
The Henley teams are now playing in new shirts displaying the club’s new sponsors, Zzoomm, Invesco, Mercers Solicitors, Oxfordshire Squash Racquets Association, GLL/Better and TMS3.
Meanwhile, the club are seeking new players of all levels to compete in matches at Gillotts Sports Centre. The club also run an active junior section, and internal monthly leagues, as well as a “turn up and play, open to all” session every Friday evening from 6.30pm to 8pm. Some female only squash sessions are being planned for next month.
