HENLEY Leisure Centre, in partnership with Jill Campion, is hosting several women’s squash taster sessions this month.
Campion, who is a GLL Sports foundation (GSF) athlete, is also the current British Open over-65s women’s squash champion, the winner of multiple world, European and national championships and a regular at player at Henley Squash Club and Henley Leisure Centre.
The taster sessions will seek to introduce and allow participants to get to grips with this fun and fast-paced racket sport. The sessions are free of charge, rackets and balls will be provided, and players of all abilities are most welcome.
The sessions will be taking place on Friday, October 11 (12.30pm to 1.30pm), Saturday, October 12 (11am to noon) and Monday, October 21 (6pm to 7pm).
Bookings are open five days in advance for non-members, seven days for members on the GLL/Better UK app or online.
Henley Squash Club runs an active junior section, internal monthly leagues, internal tournaments, Oxfordshire and Berkshire league teams. A “turn up and play, open to all” session, is held every Friday from 6.30pm to 8pm.
