Quartet of virtuoso musicians coming to pub

GUITARIST John Etheridge will be playing the Crooked Billet this month.

He will be joined by Henley’s legendary saxophonist Art Themen, master drummer Sebastiaan De Krom and bassist and composer Alec Dankworth.

A composer, bandleader and educator, John has collaborated with musicians including Stéphane Grappelli, Nigel Kennedy, Andy Simmers, Dick Heckstall Smith, Ric Sanders and more. He has played in a duo with John Williams.

Art Themen has played with Stan Tracey, Alexis Korner and others.

Sebastiaan De Krom has played with musicians such as Herbie Hancock and Jamie Cullum, while Alec Dankworth, the son of John Dankworth and Cleo Laine, has worked with Stéphane Grappelli, the Dave Brubeck Quartet and others.

John Etheridge’s All Stars play the Crooked Billet in Stoke Row on Wednesday, January 21. Tickets cost £38 as part of a music cover charge.
