MOULSFORD is a thriving, independent day and boarding school for pupils age three to 13 years near Wallingford, set in tranquil and picturesque grounds on the banks of the River Thames. We aim for our pupils to receive the broadest possible education, while remembering that they will learn best when happy and settled.
Moulsford Pre-Prep is co-educational from Pre-School through to Year 2 (age three to seven), and the Prep School (Years 3 to 8) is becoming fully co-educational from this month, when girls will be welcomed to Year 3. By 2030, the school will have girls in every year group.
An important part of the Moulsford experience is living through its values of kindness, courage and curiosity. Our teachers are passionate about nurturing children, building their confidence and self-esteem so that they get the most out of their learning and enjoy coming to school every day.
Small class sizes and exceptional pastoral care ensure that every child is listened to, supported, encouraged and given the opportunity to flourish. Academic foundations laid in the Pre-School promote curiosity and a love of learning, and the journey through Moulsford leads them on to the UK’s leading senior day and boarding schools.
Wraparound care is available to all age groups with an incredible array of activities offered after school, ranging from “bikeability” and “crafty fingers” in Pre-Prep through to kayaking and climbing for older children. Day, flexi and weekly boarding options are available to children in Year 5 and above.
Outstanding sports coaching and inclusivity provide every child with the opportunity to try a broad range of sports to gain confidence and stretch themselves to their personal best. Music, art, DT and drama are all taught by talented specialists using superb facilities and equipment. IT is integrated in all aspects of the curriculum, with iPads provided to pupils in Year 3 and above.
Moulsford operates school transport across Oxfordshire and West Berkshire.
The school’s next open morning will take place on Saturday, September 20.
