Impressive results achieved at school with a welcoming atmosphere

THE Piggott School looks forward to welcoming current Year 11 students to our sixth form open evening which takes place on Thursday, November 13 from 5pm to 7.30pm.

This event will give you the opportunity to hear from our staff and students, familiarise yourself with the Level 3 curriculum and explore the opportunities available to students.

There will also be a presentation from headteacher, Mrs Alexander (repeated at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm).

We are extremely proud of our outstanding success in both academic and vocational courses. Our A level pass rate was 99 per cent with an outstanding 32 per cent of grades at A* and A.

Our Vocational Level 3 pass rate for applied general qualifications was 100 per cent, with distinction star to merit being 90 per cent.

Sixty-five per cent of our results were graded at A*-B and 85 per cent graded
A*-C.

The average point score per A level entry was
39 points using the QCA system, making the average grade a B.

Students that have recently joined our sixth form always talk about our warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere, where staff and students have mutual respect and an open rapport.

We pride ourselves on providing an inclusive education and our highly experienced teachers ensure that every student reaches their potential through real academic commitment, enriching opportunities and engagement in school life.

Our sixth form students benefit from attending a school that lives up to its values and empowers young people to become resilient, lifelong learners.

We look forward to meeting students and parents on November 13. No booking is required.
