THIS accident black spot sign just before Greenlands when approaching from the Mill End side is the only one I can find.
In the past, another was at Kingwood on the road now known as Lime Avenue leading to Borocourt Hospital and others were spread all over our country after they were introduced in 1955.
They were installed by the local authority when a stretch of road had a history of collisions. During the decade that followed new signs were introduced with obvious symbols, which all drivers could understand.
Does any reader know of the existence around here of other officially discontinued road signs?
