Community champions honoured at opening

SIGNATURE Senior Lifestyle has opened its latest care and nursing home, Cliveden Manor, in Marlow.
The new home welcomed guests for cocktails and canapés, to celebrate the opening and a jazz band played as more than 150 guests enjoyed a barbecue on the lawn.
The opening speech was given by Tom Newell, Signature Senior Lifestyle’s executive chairman. He welcomed guests of honour, the first residents to their new home, local Marlow community business people and medical professionals.
General manager Stella Putt announced the finalists of the company’s Heart of the Community competition. Local pharmacy manager Raji Amlani took centre stage as the winner.
Raji has run the pharmacy in Marlow Bottom for more than 25 years, during which time she and her business have become indispensable to the community, particularly for the older residents.
