HARPSDEN Church was filled to capacity on Sunday when Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother came to open the new vestry room, which is dedicated to St Peter, the original patron of the parish. She was received at the lych gate by her niece Lady Mary Clayton and Mr S W Clayton, and escorted to the service by the rector of Harpsden, Canon A J Watts.
