IT is pleasing to note the success of Mr Hector Macpherson, son of Councillor J Macpherson who, at the annual distribution of prizes in connection with the Woolwich Polytechnic, was the recipient of several prizes including one for the BSC course of mechanical engineering, the Pinfold Gold Medal for regular attendance at six sessions of the evening classes as engineering draughtsman and first-class results in every session for work from matriculation to BSC degree in engineering.

The annual reunion dinner and smoking Concert of “D” (Henley) company 4th Oxf. and Bucks Lt. Infantry, will take place at the Imperial Hotel, Henley, on Friday next at 7.30pm and all ex-NCOs and men of the 4th Battalion are cordially invited.
