THE Sonning Common and Peppard A side whitewashed Kingfisher D 10-0 to maintain their Reading and District League Division 1 title challenge with Gary Morgan, Daniel Moses and Ian Cole taking maximums.

Tom Astle scored an impressive maximum as Sonning Common and Peppard B lost 7-3 to Tilehurst RBL A, while an equally impressive maximum from Jon Abbott wasn’t quite enough as his Sonning Common and Peppard C squad hosted a strong Tidmarsh A side and lost 6-4, Danny Dockree was only able to add one more by beating Anthony Baker.

Nigel Maltby lost a well fought five setter against Rishan Sawant 6-11, 11-8, 10-12, 11-7, 7-11 as the D team went down to a 10-0 defeat against Kingfisher A.

In Division 3, the E team lost 7-3 at promotion contenders Our Lady of Peace C, Jim Warren unlucky to lose two of his contests in fifth game deciders.

In Division 4, second placed Sonning Common and Peppard F won 7-3 at Tilehurst RBL C, Gerry Bacon and Oliver Bonser were the hat trick men, while the G team went down 7-3 to Springfield B.
