DESPITE a battling three-straight treble from Ed Lush and Ian Cole's 11-8, 6-11, 11-4, 12-14, 11-6 win against Duncan Groves, Sonning Common and Peppard A lost 6-4 at Tidmarsh A in Division 1 of the Reading and District League.

In Division 3, Sonning Common and Peppard D significantly boosted their chance of avoiding the drop with a 7-3 win at Sonning Sports C, Holly Ranson leading the way with a treble while Graeme Streets returned to form by winning twice.

Sonning Common and Peppard E were 10-0 losers against promotion-chasing OLOP H.
