Visitors have no answer to free-scoring Wargrave

WARGRAVE moved up to second place in the Premier Division table after putting in a dominant display to thrash visitors GORING UNITED 7-0 last Saturday.

Wargrave took the lead when Callum Brighton scored from the edge of the box. Sam Wild added the second after good play around the box and he finished at the back post.

Dan Townson made it 3-0 from a set piece before Nathan Collins scored the fourth with a fine finish from just inside the area for his first goal for the club.

In the second half Wargrave made five changes within
10 minutes as Nathan Collins added his second goal of the day to make it 5-0.

Teddy Thomas made it 6-0 after good work from Harri Douglas crossing to the back post.

Thomas added his second of the game, controlling the ball in the box, swivelling and slotting home to wrap up the scoring.

Elsewhere in the division, WOODCOTE ran out 4-0 winners at home to WINKFIELD.

Toby Nowell opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark and the result was put beyond doubt with two Sharples goals in the 70th and 80th minutes. Matt Webber completed the scoring five minutes from the end.

In Division 1, ROTHERFIELD UNITED went down to a 1-0 defeat at home to ALLIED COMMUNITY ELITE.

HENLEY TOWN DEVELOPMENT shared the spoils in an entertaining 2–2 draw at home in their Reserve Division 1 clash with MAIDENHEAD TOWN RESERVES.

The visitors made a fast start, taking the lead inside the opening five minutes. Henley responded well and were rewarded when Drew Barnes slotted home to bring the scores level.

Maidenhead Town Reserves regained their advantage with a long-range effort, but Henley continued to press and were eventually back on terms when Liam Lukeman and Mckie Twigger combined well, with Twigger finishing neatly to make it 2–2 just before half-time.

Despite Maidenhead being reduced to 10 men early in the second half, both sides pushed for a winner, but the game ended all square after a competitive and hard-fought encounter.

In Division 3, TAPLOW UNITED ran out comfortable 5-0 winners at GORING UNITED RESERVES.

James Mormoh bagged four goals to help ROTHERFIELD UNITED DEVELOPMENT thrash hosts BRACKNELL PANTHERS 10-0 in their Division 4 clash.

Lewis Beeton scored two goals for the visitors while Archie Baker, Sami Morgan, William Mullin and Rhys Roberts were also on target.
