Caffyn helps team gain national bronze medal

KENNYLANDS gymnast Amelia Caffyn helped Team South secure a bronze medal at the FIG Dev 2 National Finals held at the Guildford Spectrum on Friday of last week.

The Sonning Common-based gymnast finished eight on the vault and all around, ninth on bars and fifth on the beam. Caffyn’s previous national final scores from the beginning of the year were added to these scores to create a combined score, where she placed fifth overall in Britain.

This is the highest category for a gymnast of Caffyn’s age, and she was one of the youngest competing at the event.
