Kennylands gymnast Jessie-Mae Teeuwen (pictured) travelled up to the Telford International Centre on Saturday to compete in the WAG Senior English Championships.
This is Teeuwen’s first year as a senior elite, and to get to compete at this level is a huge achievement, especially at a home nations competition.
She competed as an apparatus specialist on floor and vault, producing clean routines on both and kept a calm and confident attitude throughout the competition.
She scored highly on both pieces, including a Vault score of 11.95 for a Piked Tsukahara.
Kennylands’ head of artistic gymnastics Phil Swatridge said: “We are so proud of the hard work she’s put in to get here.”
