Kennylands girls shine at Southern Grade competition

TEN members of Sonning Common’s Kennylands Gymnastics Club competed at the Southern Grade finals after qualifying from the Oxfordshire event last month.

In Preparation 1, Amy Evans, in her first regional finals, performed well on five pieces while in Preparation 3, Arabella Cooper finished sixth on the vault and Arabella Cooper and Erum Ullah put in good routines on the beam.

In Development 2, Melia Drummond and Darcy Rawson competed well on all five pieces while Alexa Hughes finished fifth on both vault and floor and sixth on the bars. In Development 3, Hollie Mackin finished fifth on the vault and floor, second on bars and sixth on the beam and sixth overall. Natalia Wojciechowska finished third on bars and floor, fourth on beam, fifth on range and conditioning and fifth overall.

In Development 4, Jess Jones finished third on range and conditions and bars and sixth on vault, beam and floor and sixth overall.

Orla Hughes was second on the vault, fifth on bars, third on beam and range and conditioning and fourth on the floor and fourth overall.
